Former workers at the web giant Google have launched a rival search engine.
Called Cuil, from the Gaelic for knowledge and hazel, its founders claim it does a better and more comprehensive job of indexing information online.

Used it a few times already and i like the 3 column layout, saves scrolling down to see more results as they all fit on screen.
It's a bit slow atm, quite often it takes a couple seconds for a results page to appear, probably because it's getting hammered.
Looks promising, not a fan of the black background though.
How the hell did they index more than 120 billion pages already!?
