One of Exeter's busiest entrances to the city could be transformed with a landmark street art sculpture costing £70,000.
City council bosses hope the free-standing artwork at the side of Fore Street in Heavitree will form it's centrepiece.The proposed stainless steel and glass archway features a poem recognising Heavitree's past, and includes an open space surrounding the base, which could be in place by the end of the summer. The steel triangular pyramid is an eyesore as I expect this will be. It isn't consistent with any of the architecture nearby, it looks harsh and crass. Why not fix the pothole that's been in okemapton road for the last 9 years i remember. Fore street end looks a bit untidy compared to new princesshay but what they're doing is like putting a spoiler on a clapped out car.
