A weathered statue of the patron saint of Slavs, St Methodius, which has stood for nearly 100 years at the Cathedral's North Tower entrance, was all but destroyed in the attack.
The statue was broken off at the legs and its head was removed.
Reports suggest that it was not a random or drunken attack as a rope is thought to have been used to pull the statue down.

I'll be very disappointed if there's no clues to who did it on CCTV somewhere. With there being 1 camera to every 14 people in the UK, it start's to show whether the cameras are there for our protection or not.
